I recently watched season 3 episode 12 (“Les Lucioles”) of Suburgatory, the ABC sitcom by Emily Kapnek. The episode featured the wedding of teenagers Lisa Marie Shay and Malik LeFrique, with Tessa Altman as the maid of honor and wedding organizer. As someone who works in the world of bridal jewelry, it was hard for me not to notice of Tessa’s jewelry in this episode. Tessa, of course, is played by the lovely actress Jane Levy.
Tessa is wearing a diamond halo necklace — a round brilliant cut diamond solitaire surrounded by a “halo” of smaller diamonds — and small diamond stud earrings. The choice of jewelry is perfect for her character, who usually makes fairly conservative wardrobe choices and is known for her appreciation of quality over quantity. I like how the earrings and necklace complement each other beautifully but aren’t “matchy matchy.” This is a great look for any maid of honor or even the bride.
Here at deBebians, we carry both styles for you to get this exact look!
Our diamond halo necklace setting is currently available for $870. It can be made for a diamond you already own or you can choose a round diamond for the necklace via our loose diamond search. As of this writing, our round certified loose diamonds start around $400 for 0.30 ct.
For the earrings, I chose our 0.50 cttw diamond studs, which are available for $765. Each diamond weighs 0.25 ct. and measures approximately 4.1mm or 0.16 inch each.
If you’re looking for something a little different, we also offer many variations of these two styles. One of my favorites is this diamond halo morganite pendant.
