deBebians recently introduced fancy pink and fancy yellow pave diamonds to our halo and double halo engagement ring sections. Since we are always thinking ahead and planning for our customers, we thought adding pave fancy pink and fancy yellow diamonds was a great way to take our Bel Dia bridal line to the next level. This past month, we got our first order for a fancy pink diamond halo engagement ring, style HE147-RP. This double halo engagement ring with pink diamonds was completed recently and was sent off to our customer. There is nothing more rewarding for me than taking a new design and applying it to an already popular Bel Dia engagement ring. I had the pleasure of making this sale and want to show you the evolution of designing this gorgeous ring.
As one of the gemologists here, I worked closely with the customer to help him select a diamond. Originally, he had attempted to purchase a 1.00ct D color, SI2 clarity EGL International diamond that I had to convince him not to purchase (see my previous blog about diamond color). After two days of working together on diamond options, we finally decided that a smaller diamond with lower color and higher clarity was better than a high color diamond that had eye visible black inclusions. We proceeded forward with an 0.86ct F color, SI1 clarity EGL certified diamond. This diamond had a nice balance of size, color, and clarity. The final price came in under my customer’s prescribed budget allowing the magic at deBebians to begin.
