Nick Carter, who is best known as one of the members of the vocal harmony and pop group, the Backstreet Boys, married his long-term girlfriend, Lauren Kitt on April 12th in Santa Barbara, California. Carter had proposed to Kitt with a stunning pear engagement ring in Florida on February 23rd, which we discussed in a blog post at the time.

Kitt revealed to In Touch Weekly that her $10,000 strapless wedding gown was designed by Inbal Dror, an Israeli designer. The Moroccan-themed wedding took place overlooking the ocean at sunset and was attended by Brian Littrell, Howie Dorough, and AJ McLean from the Backstreet boys. McLean’s daughter, Ava, was the flower girl for the ceremony. Sadly, Nick’s younger brother Aaron Carter was unable to make the affair due to a flight delay.

Carter, 34, shared a photo on his Instagram account after the nuptials with the caption “To all the haters that thought it wouldn’t last…I LOVE Mrs Carter! @laurenkitt #ilovemywife #ilovebeinghusband.” The cheeky photo shows the newly married couple displaying their wedding bands on their ring fingers.

He also shared a heartfelt tweet directed to Kitt, 29, which stated, “Happiest day of my life 4-12-2014 I married my best friend and woman of my dreams. Lauren Kitt Carter honeymoon time!”

Though this wedding may have broken the hearts of women all over the world that are stuck in the early 2000’s (I know I am), I wish this couple all of the happiness in the world. The Backstreet Boys will be going on their 20^th anniversary tour titled In A World Like This Tour, starting in late May. The tour will consist of over 120 shows, which will take place in Asia, North America, and Europe.
