My taste in engagement rings has changed quite a bit in the past year. Working in the jewelry industry with a large emphasis on bridal and wedding jewelry, I always enjoy reading about the celebrity engagement rings and their proposals. I have selected a few of my favorite celebrity engagement rings from 2013 that I think are absolutely gorgeous.

When funny man Jason Sudeikis proposed to actress Olivia Wilde, he presented her with this stunning engagement ring. The round center diamond is surrounded by a yellow gold bezel and a halo of green emeralds.

Scarlett Johansson

I must have a soft spot for vintage engagement rings. Scarlett Johansson’s engagement ring is an Art Deco ring that features three large diamonds. The three diamonds represent the past, present, and future.

I think that there the solitaire engagement ring is perfect. It is timeless and will always be a classic. In my opinion, a solitaire engagement ring with a round brilliant diamond, like Lauren Conrad’s, will never look dated or go out of style.
