Lauren Conrad shared some happy news on Sunday October 13–The Laguna Beach and The Hills star is soon to be walking down the aisle. Lauren Conrad is engaged to her boyfriend William Tell, who like Conrad, grew up in Orange County, California. The pair has been dating since May 2012 and resides in Westwood.

After Conrad, 27, quit the reality TV scene, she has gone on to become a successful fashion designer and author. Her first book, L.A. Candy, was released in 2009 and went on to become a New York Times bestseller. Her latest novel, Infamous, was released in June 2013. Conrad also has a clothing and bedding line with Kohl’s.

Tell, 33, was formerly the rhythm guitarist and backing vocalist in the band Something Corporate. After leaving the band in 2004, he was signed by New Door Records as a solo artist. Currently Tell is a law student at the University of Southern California.

Conrad was eager to show a photo of her solitaire engagement ring on her Instagram as well as on her website. “I am very excited to share with you guys that William and I got engaged over the weekend. I am beyond thrilled!”

She also promised, “Get ready for lots more wedding content here on LaurenConrad.com as we begin the planning process.”
