Jason Mraz has tied the knot this past Sunday in a beautiful, intimate ceremony. The couple married in a Virginia forest in a unique, outdoor chapel in Mraz’s hometown. The ceremony took place at the historic Pole Green Church, which is located in Mechanicsville, Virginia.
“On Sunday, Oct. 25th, Jason Mraz married his girlfriend of 4 years, Christina Carano, in a ceremony led by Terces Engelhart of Cafe Gratitude,” the singer’s representative shared with Us Weekly. “The couple chose to be a stand for love, as witnessed by a small gathering of close family and friends.”
The couple met through mutual friends in 2007 at the coffee shop that Carano had previously owned, which is located in Hermosa, CA. Though the couple was immediately smitten with each other, the couple did not begin to date seriously until 2011.
The couple appeared together on the cover of The Osider for the August issue and Carano shared some words about her soon-to-be husband.
“After several years of crushing on him, the stars finally aligned—and now he’s my stud. We’ve created a really awesome life together and we make a great team. He’s the most loving, generous, and most hardworking man I know. These are the most attractive qualities I could ever ask for in a partner. He inspires me and empowers me everyday to live my best life and he cares so deeply about the things that really matter. We’re truly blessed in so many ways.”
Mraz shared a stunning photo of Carano on his personal Instagram page that simply stated, “Today I was made the luckiest man in the world.”
