How Much Should an Engagement Ring Cost?

How much should you spend on an engagement ring? I get this question almost daily from customers.  My answer is always however much you want.  There is no set guideline for how much should be spent on an engagement ring. Also, who says your engagement ring has to have diamonds.  These days your engagement ring can be whatever you want... diamond, moissanite, colored stone, plain band, eternity band etc.  Our customers are doing whatever feels right for them and that's what is most important. Here are some of my favorite engagement rings that we have recently made.  What do you think?
  1. Custom Halo Harro Moissanite Engagement Ring
This diamond halo engagement ring features a center cushion cut Harro Gem.  Harro Gem is lab created moissanite so it's ethically sourced and conflict free. This is a huge plus these days for our clients who want the look of diamond, but don't want to spend a ton of money and want a guaranteed ethically sourced stone. Plus, this ring is an absolute beauty!
  2. Custom Sapphire Three Stone Halo Engagement Ring
By far this is one of my favorite rings we have made recently! The center cushion cut sapphire weighs 2.80ct and is flanked by white pave set diamonds and matching caddies. Retailing for under $5,000, this engagement ring gives you an impressive look without totally breaking the bank.  Who doesn't love three stone rings?
  3.  Moissanite Engagement Ring with Diamond and Sapphire Accents
This sapphire and diamond pave set ring features a 9.5mm center cushion cut Charles & Colvard Forever One moissanite. Retailing for under $2,500, this is definitely quite impressive for the money.  Also, I love the combination of blue sapphires and white diamonds.  It's such a classic look and by far one of my absolute faves!
  4. Oval Three Stone Ring
Last but not least, guess how much this ring cost? $10,000?  $5,000?  $2,200?  Nope, even less!  This ring features 0.26cttw tapered baguette diamonds with a center 9x7mm oval Forever One Charles & Colvard moissanite.  I was blown away by this ring and so was our customer.  These days you can get an absolutely gorgeous engagement ring for way less than you think!
When shopping for your engagement ring, of course you always have to consider how much to spend.  Remember though it's not like it used to be.  Your engagement ring doesn't have to cost a fortune and you can use moissanite and/or colored stones instead of diamonds to get the look you want for cheaper. Contact us for more details on any of these rings and/or for help creating your dream engagement ring!
