Mouawad’s 637-ct diamond necklace has been declared as the world’s most expensive necklace by Guinness World Records.  The necklace features a stunning, 407.48 ct flawless yellow diamond, which is rightfully named L’Incomparable.  The natural colored diamond features a shield step cut and is the largest internally flawless diamond in the world graded by the Gemological Institute of America. The necklace is valued at $55 million USD.

The necklace also features an array of white diamonds–35 round brilliant, 27 pear-shaped, nine heart-shaped, five emerald cut, five cushion cut, four oval, three asscher, and two radiant cut diamonds decorate the necklace.

Mouawad is a multinational jewelry and timepiece company based in Geneva.  The ‘Incomparable’ diamond necklace was recently unveiled at the Doha Jewellery and Watch Exhibition that was held on February 25 through March 3.

“This is the fourth time that Mouawad has received a certificate from the authority of Guinness World Records and it’s another of those remarkable moments in history for our family,” stated the guardian of the Mouawad retail division, Pascal Mouawad.

The ‘Incomparable’ was found in the Democratic Republic of Congo and weighed 890 ct in its rough state.
