Nene Leakes, from the BRAVO series Real Housewives of Atlanta, remarried her ex-husband Gregg Leakes after three years of being divorced. The lavish wedding was filmed and aired on BRAVO this past Wednesday September 19^th, 2013. The over the top wedding décor was matched with lots of diamond jewelry. Nene Leake’s engagement ring in particular stood out because it is almost identical to our ring design style HE217. This halo 3 stone diamond engagement ring is ideal for someone who wants that over the top celebrity style engagement ring.

Nene’s large 3 stone engagement ring features a center cushion cut diamond with accenting half moon shaped diamonds. All three diamonds are surrounded by a pave diamond halo. Our ring setting HE217 is also a cushion halo engagement ring with half moons.  It is ideal for center stones approximate 1.50ct or larger. Nene leeks ring supposedly features a 10ct center cushion with 5.00cttw in accenting diamond. At deBebians, we work with CAD (computer aided design) so that no matter what center stone you purchase, your ring will be manufactured appropriately. The size of the half moon stones can be customized to complement the size of the center stone. The image below features an approximate 3 carat center cushion diamond with accenting half moons at 0.60cttw. The ring features approximately 1.00cttw in pave diamonds. This is the original design that became our style HE217. Although Nene’s ring is rather impressive, you do not need a 10 carat center diamond to make this ring gorgeous!

The shank portion of both Nene’s ring and our own Bel Dia style HE217 features a multiple row pave diamond shank. HE217 has 5 rows of diamonds, 3 across the top with one on either side. The larger the center diamond, the more support a ring needs in the shank. The multiple row pave adds support as well as extra sparkle to an already over the top, gorgeous diamond ring.
