One of the most popular types of engagement ring styles of today is the under halo engagement ring, also called the drop halo engagement ring. A traditional, standard halo ring setting features a halo of diamonds that surrounds the center stone, which can give the appearance of a larger center stone. An under halo features a row or ring of pave set diamonds that will sit on the side or below the center stone. Whereas you can view a standard halo from above, an under halo is visible from the side of the ring setting. This ring above is item number HE381, which has quickly become a favorite design due to its elegance, simplicity, and timelessness.
We carry many types of under halo ring settings from which to choose. Above is one of our newest designs, which is item number HE383. It was created with a hidden under halo, which creates a stunning silhouette.
Even a solitaire engagement ring can feature an under halo design. We love that this type of halo ring gives the wearer the look of a classic engagement ring, but also features a surprise halo of diamonds viewable from the side profile.
One of our newest under halo ring settings is HE386. This under halo ring was designed to fit any shape center stone while keeping a sleek thin shank at 1.5mm wide. Current trends seem to be thinner bands while adding a little extra bling to the under halo portion of the engagement ring.
We can also modify one of our other settings to feature an under halo or create a completely custom design with this unique feature. The drop halo is a fun and stunning surprise on any engagement ring. It gives an extra special touch to an already meaningful piece.
