Maria Sharapova may be known for her tennis record; however she was in the news a year ago for her amazing engagement ring.  Sharapova was proposed to by another professional athlete, Sasha Vujacic of the LA Lakers last October.  He presented her with a spectacular cushion cut diamond engagement ring that is approximately 7.00 or 8.00 carats.  Vujacic proposed to the tennis pro in Manhattan Beach, CA.  The happy couple has yet to set a date, but we can only speculate how lavish and romantic their wedding will be.
