Art Deco-Inspired Engagement Rings
Posted on September 28 2016
Art Deco is also known as Style Moderne. It can be applied to a style of architecture, visual arts, or design and first came about before World War I in France. This distinctive style of design became popular during the 1920’s and the 1930’s and become synonymous with elegance and luxury. It influenced an array of commodities, including buildings, cars, theatres, including others, such as jewelry. I wanted to share a few of our engagement ring designs that feature elements that are Art Deco-inspired.
It is easy to see the Art Deco influence in this decadent ring. The diamonds we select have G color with VS clarity and weigh approximately 0.88 cttw. This ring features round brilliant cut and baguette cut diamonds set into a floral design.
Blue sapphires make an appearance on many Art Deco engagement rings. This ring features round brilliant cut sapphires, which will surround a bezel set center stone. The basket is decorative, which completes the overall look of the ring.
Finally, I wanted to share this nature-inspired engagement ring. It features milgrain detail, which was often used to further embellish Art Deco engagement rings. I personally love the leaf accents, which give this ring an antique look.
