I am still having trouble believing that it is officially 2014. I feel as though 2013 flew by, but I am excited to see what the New Year will hold for deBebians. Engagement rings and bridal jewelry in general experience trends like any other fashion industry and it has been a pleasure to work behind the scenes to see the trends evolve in real-time. I have selected my engagement ring trend predictions for 2014.
Halo engagement rings
Halo engagement rings have grown in popularity in the last few years and I think that this trend will continue to flourish. Diamond prices will most likely continue to grow and a diamond halo is a great way to add total carat weight to an engagement ring without adding a huge price. Maggie, one of our GIA graduate gemologists, wrote an amazing blog post about this topic and how beneficial a diamond halo can be for achieving the look of a larger center diamond. The post is titled Add A Diamond Halo to Make a Diamond Appear Larger and I highly recommend reading it if you are on the fence about choosing a halo ring. Not only is it cost-effective, the completed look is classic and timeless.
Colored diamonds
We have added both fancy yellow diamond halo rings as well as fancy pink diamond halo rings. Many of our customers are looking for a unique twist when it comes to choosing the perfect engagement ring. Colored diamonds provide a wonderful opportunity to ultimately surprise your beloved. We also offer yellow diamond engagement rings, which are designed with a yellow gold cup to further enhance the yellow center stone of your choice.
Rose gold
Rose gold is personally my favorite precious metal for fine jewelry. Rose gold has been a new favorite for engagement rings with white diamonds, champagne diamonds, pink sapphires, and of course, morganite.
