We recently introduced an engraving option on the majority of our engagement rings, so you can now choose this option when ordering online rather than making a special request for it. Pictured at right is one of the first rings to utilize this engraving service. This ring features a laser engraving that is then lightly polished so that it wears comfortably on the finger.
Religious ring engravings are a great way to personalize your purchase and literally mark it as your own. I had written a previous blog entry about popular engraving ideas that we see most often on our wedding rings, so I thought I’d dedicate this entry to the idea of a Christian engagement ring featuring a Bible verse engraving on the inside. Rings with Bible verses are a great way to show your unique love and devotion to your partner.
Most Bible verses are way too long to engrave on a small, thin ring, so what most people do is engrave the scripture reference instead, such as “Proverbs 3:5-6.” Here is a collection of some Bible verses to engrave on wedding rings.
Reference | Synopsis | Passage |
Proverbs 19:14 | The blessing of an understanding wife | “A father can give his sons homes and riches, but only the Lord can give them understanding wives.” |
Proverbs 13:12 | Hope for the future | “Hope deferred makes the heart sick; but when dreams come true at last, there is life and joy.” |
Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 | The marriage partnership | “Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work: If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up! Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.” |
Ecclesiastes 9:9 | Advice to a new or not-so-new husband | “Live happily with the woman you love through the fleeting days of life, for the wife God gives you is your best reward down here for all your earthly toil.” |
Proverbs 31:30 | The ideal wife | “Charm can be deceptive and beauty doesn’t last, but a woman who fears and reverences God shall be greatly praised.” |
Proverbs 3:5-6 | Trust in God rather than yourself | “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.” |

It’s hard to pick just one. If you have a favorite or a suggestion for another verse not listed here for Bible verse rings, please feel free to share with us in the comment section..
