“Now before we send it to auction, we’re going to publicize this so hopefully the rightful owner will come forward,” said Lt. Carlos. “Maybe there’s a woman out there that this was gifted to her and she’s missing it.”

The police have cross-referenced the ring with burglaries, missing property cases, and other information that the police holds all with no success.

The ring will go to auction in a couple of weeks along with other items seized in a police auction. The exact time and date of the auction is not yet set. The proceeds of this auction will go to fund the Sante Fe Police Department.
