deBebians is an online diamond and jewelry store where you can compare thousands of certified loose diamonds and select from hundreds of settings. Obviously, as one of the founders, I am a bit partial to deBebians.com. However, even if I was a consumer looking to buy an engagement ring and/or loose diamond, I would take a long look at deBebians. I believe we operate slightly differently from other online retailers in a few different key ways. The reason for this is that we want our customers to make the smartest, most educated purchase.
The first way I feel we are different is that we are here for you every step of the way when you are selecting your loose diamond or engagement ring setting. We offer extensive diamond education pages to inform you about everything from diamond shape, to length to width ratio to metal information. We even have an ‘Ask the Expert’ section where you can submit any question you may have and it will be answered by one of our staff GIA graduate gemologists. I do understand that some customers want to do their own research and select their own diamond. However, if you have questions or need guidance, we do have three GIA graduate gemologists currently on staff to offer expert advice.
Another key difference is that we do not own the diamonds that are listed on deBebians. The great part about this is that we are not pushing our own inventory. We truly want you to find the best diamond for your budget. With thousands of diamonds available, we can even run a customized search for you that will find you the best diamond currently out there on the market for your budget. Often times, even if a client has a diamond picked out, a gemologist will just run a quick search to make sure there isn’t another option, equally as nice, for less money. Why not, right? Who doesn’t love to save a few dollars?!
One of the most important ways we are different from some other online retailers is that every single item (loose diamonds, engagement rings and all of our diamond jewelry) goes through our office before shipping to you. We do not drop ship anything! I feel it is absolutely critical for every diamond to be inspected before shipping from our facility. Loose diamonds go through our office to be examined by a gemologist for verification prior to shipping to the customer and all of our diamond jewelry is also examined under magnification.
