Double Halo Engagement Rings

A halo engagement ring is a very popular style for an engagement ring setting.  Look around and you’ll see a large number of engagement rings that are of this style and design.  Double halo engagement rings are becoming more and more popular.  There is just something about a double halo ring.  With two rows of diamonds surrounding the center stone, it really gives the diamond that ‘wow’ factor that many women are seeking.  All the bling and sparkle of the two rows of diamonds surrounding the center diamond will even make the center diamond appear larger.  However, with that said, I would not recommend a diamond smaller than 0.50ct for a double halo. The sparkle and scintillation of the pave set round brilliant cut diamonds in a double halo will complement any shape diamond.  However, the center diamond has to have enough carat weight so it’s not swallowed up by the double halo.  Here, at deBebians, we offer double halo settings for almost all diamond shapes.

With a double halo, you can still choose between a single shank or even a split shank.  Now the questions is… which one should you choose?  The answer to that question is very simple.  It’s a personal opinion and totally up to you.  I often tell my customers to try on both versions to see which they like best and what looks best on their hand.  Personally, I think a split shank double halo is the way to go.  For me, from a design standpoint, the split shank creates a softer, more flowing connection between the shank and the halo and it really brings the ring together.
