All of us at deBebians are thrilled to announce that we have added the option of Forever One Moissanite by Charles & Colvard to our stunning collection of moissanite engagement rings. Moissanite has grown in popularity for fine jewelry due to its illuminating beauty. Moissanite also has more fire and brilliance than a diamond. Forever One Moissanite grades to the equivalent of an D-F color diamond, which is the whitest option of Moissanite.
Moissanite is a rare mineral that was originally discovered by Henri Moissan, a French chemist, in 1893. The mineral was discovered by Moissan while examining a meteor crater in Canyon Diablo, AZ. He initially mistook the found crystals as diamonds, but later in 1904 he was able to identify them as silicon carbide. The mineral was later named for its discoverer and called moissanite. Moissanite occurs rarely in nature, which is why the element has been synthesized in laboratories and perfected by Charles & Colvard. Moissanite scores a 9.25 on Mohs scale of hardness, making this mineral comparable to a sapphire, which scores a 9, or a diamond, which scores a 10.
By utilizing the drop-down menu on almost all of our engagement ring product pages, you will be able to select that you would like to purchase a moissanite center stone for an upgraded fee. You may then choose your desired center stone from our loose Forever One Moissanite options. Charles & Colvard offers a Limited Lifetime Warranty on each Moissanite that is purchased through deBebians.
