While strongly tied to the French monarchy, the fleur de lis is also a religious symbol that is often representative of the Virgin Mary as well as the Holy Trinity. Set into a rough wide grooved band that runs through the center of the ring, it is beautifully ornamented by the high polished rounded edges.
