De Beers Diamond Jewellers opened a new store front in Almaty, Kazakhstan on July 2nd 2011. Located in the Bogenbai Batyr District, Lot 125, the De Beers store will be managed by the Premier Metro Group, a luxury good retail and distribution company in Kazakhstan. Bogenbai Batyr is known as the top shopping destination for luxury goods such as cars, mobile phones, jewelry, and gadgets.
As part of the opening ceremonies the street was closed off to public access, a first in Bogenbai Batyr’s history. The ceremony hosted over 250 esteemed guests, starting from morning and ending in the evening.
De Beers is extending its reach into new markets and opening more store fronts in fast rising countries. Its famous locales include the Old Bond Streen in London, Fifth Avenue in New York, and most recently Shin Kong Place in Beijing. Their focus on high quality superb jewelry pieces is well known throughout the world.
